Job summary

Saint Mary’s Health Network in Nevada is seeking a Per Diem Medical Laboratory Technologist to join an award-winning team committed to quality and community. You will perform waived to highly complex tests and support lab operations.

The role requires a BS in CLS, Nevada General Supervisor license or eligibility, 3 years in a clinical lab, and fluent English. You will work flexible shifts and contribute to patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science from an accredited college.
• Nevada General Supervisor license or eligibility to work while license is pending.
• Minimum of 3 years working in a clinical laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived, moderate, or highly complex tests per CLIA and NAC regulations.
• Adhere to quality control policies and document corrective actions.
• Identify problems affecting test performance and notify supervisor.
• Perform and document maintenance on instruments and equipment.
• Review accuracy of patient results prior to reporting.
• May perform venipuncture or capillary puncture.
• Assist in development and maintenance of laboratory policies.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, and HR policies.
• Lead technician/General Supervisor during shift when assigned.
• Handle LIS and/or POC responsibilities as required.
