Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist for an in-office role in Fort Bragg, CA. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related field and CA CLS licensure. Five years of clinical lab experience and two years of leadership are preferred.

EPIC experience is desired. The candidate will supervise staff and ensure all testing meets regulatory standards and accreditation goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biological sciences, chemical sciences or allied health technologies or equivalent: Required
• Five years' clinical laboratory experience: Preferred
• Two years' leadership experience: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees all laboratory testing and coordinates all point of care testing (POCT).
• Reviews and evaluates the validity and accuracy of test results.
• Functions as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist when needed.
• Identifies education and competency needs and conducts laboratory personnel training programs on instrumentation, technology and procedure as needed.
• Establishes the laboratory's test performance characteristics, including precision, accuracy, reference ranges and reportable ranges.
• Maintains compliance with CLIA, FDA, CAP, JC, AABB, and OSHA requirements.
