Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Sr Data Scientist, Clinical Intelligence to translate EHR and clinical data into actionable performance measures and analyses. The role spans Oak Street Health, MinuteClinic/Retail Health, Signify Health, and enterprise clinical data assets.

You will develop recurring dashboards and KPI analyses on quality, access, care gaps, and population health, partnering with clinicians, Clinical Evidence Development, and analytics teams under senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Requires 2–4 years of healthcare data science or related analytics experience.
• Experience analyzing EHR, encounter, clinical, or lab data.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one statistical language (R, Python, SAS).
• Experience building clinical measures, dashboards, cohorts, or outcome analyses.
• Understanding of clinical workflows and limitations of EHR-derived measures.
• Strong documentation and analytic-quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Apply SQL and statistical programming to analyze EHR/encounter/clinical data.
• Develop and maintain analytical frameworks, metrics, and dashboards for clinical quality and preventive care.
• Build and validate cohorts using diverse clinical data elements.
• Work with Epic assets (Clarity, Caboodle) and related tools for detailed analysis and reporting.
• Differentiate clinical events from administrative data to reflect true workflows.
• Analyze care across ambulatory, in-home, retail, and value-based primary care settings.
• Use interoperability data (FHIR/HL7/CCDA) as needed for analytics questions.
• Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams to operationalize measures.
