499x Siemens Healthineers Endovascular Robotics, Inc. is seeking a Senior Clinical Engineer to join our Endovascular Robotics line within Advanced Therapies.

You will collaborate across teams to advance robotic systems for neurovascular interventions and contribute to clinical workflow development. The role requires 3–5 years of medical device development experience, with preference for endovascular robotics background and strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of medical device development experience.
  • Endovascular robotics experience preferred.
  • Experience with clinical environment and pre‑clinical testing.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with FDA guidance and regulatory processes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to achieve development milestones.
  • Support integration tests and clinical workflow studies for thrombectomy workflows.
  • Lead testing of the robotic system, subsystems, and prototypes.
  • Apply engineering and scientific principles to improve clinical procedures with robotics and AI.
  • Provide technical and clinical guidance from concept to development with FDA engagement.
  • Support testing strategies and diverse testing approaches.
  • Help define and validate medical robotic procedures and training materials.
  • Contribute to testing bed developments for remote/autonomous robotics.

We are currently looking for an ambitious Senior Clinical Engineer to join our Endovascular Robotics business within Advanced Therapies. We are a global technology leader in robotic‑assisted vascular interventions. We believe the combination of endovascular robotics, image guidance and dedicated devices will change the way neurovascular procedures will be done in the future, enabling better outcomes, and enabling our customers to provide better access to care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborating closely with the internal and external teams to ensure successful completion of development initiatives and milestones.
  • Supporting integration tests and clinical workflow studies for (remote & autonomous) thrombectomy workflows.
  • Clinical workflow testing of subrecipient developments and contributions to ensure clinical applicability.
  • Leading definition, investigation, and testing of the robotic ecosystem system, subsystems, and prototypes, including simulated‑use testing, pre‑clinical testing.
  • Applying engineering and scientific principles to advance the effectiveness of clinical procedures and workflow through use of robotics, remote treatment capabilities, and artificial intelligence incl. autonomous robotics.
  • Providing technical and clinical guidance to programs from concept to development and engagement with the FDA based on clinical insights and extensive data analysis.
  • Supporting device testing strategies, including support for testing setup, diversity in testing strategies and integration testing.
  • Supporting definition and validation of medical robotic procedures including troubleshooting procedures, and training materials.
  • Supporting in testing bed developments for remote and autonomous robotic ecosystems.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, biomedical engineering or related discipline required.
  • Master’s degree preferred; experience with state-of-the-art AI technology preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in medical device development required; (endo) vascular robotic experience preferred.
  • A strong understanding and experience of medical device development from the definition stage through validation.
  • Experience in generating protocols, procedures, and engineering tests/reports requiredUnderstanding of and experience in the clinical/pre‑clinical settings preferred.
  • Experience with endovascular technologies preferredExcellent communication skills with the ability to present clinical ideas to the engineering team and engineering principals to clinical personnel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work in a cross‑functional team environment.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and work independently, with minimal supervision required.
