Job summary

KAISER Permanente in Pasadena, CA seeks a Documentation Integrity Specialist IV with clinical licensure experience to improve the accuracy and completeness of medical documentation. Ideal candidates will have a nursing/medical background, CDI experience, and proficiency with Epic EMR.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in an inpatient acute care or clinical setting.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Medicine, Health Administration, Health Information Management or related field AND minimum four (4) years experience in nursing, CDI, inpatient coding, quality review, case management, or a directly related field OR minimum seven (7) years of experience in nursing, CDI, inpatient coding, quality review, case management, or a directly related field.
• California license(s) required at hire (Physician Assistant, Doctor of Medicine, Nurse Practitioner, or Registered Nurse)

Responsibilities

• Promotes learning by providing information, resources, advice, and expertise to coworkers and members and builds cross-functional relationships.
• Supports audits and reviews to ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards.
• Assists in staff training and education on clinical documentation improvement (CDI) and documentation requirements.
• Reviews medical records to promote accurate diagnosis capture and DRG assignment, coordinating with senior team members.
