Job summary

CVS Health is hiring for a healthcare analytics role focused on clinical data. You will design models, build a clinical data feature store, and create analytics assets for data scientists and analysts. The role emphasizes data governance, HIPAA, and cross‑functional collaboration.

You will translate clinical data concepts into actionable analytics, develop dashboards, and work with stakeholders to meet analytical objectives. A strong SQL background and cloud experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience in clinical informatics, healthcare analytics, or clinical data management.
• Expertise in clinical data types and structures, including CCD data, lab results, and clinical notes.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED-CT, LOINC, NDC and RxNorm.
• Experience designing data models, taxonomies, or classification frameworks for healthcare data.
• Proven ability to enable downstream data consumers via documentation and training.
• Proficiency with SQL and large healthcare datasets.
• Experience using cloud-based data platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.
• Strong data quality, validation, profiling, and monitoring skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert in clinical data, including CCD, claims, and lab results.
• Design and maintain clinical data models, taxonomies, and classification frameworks.
• Build the clinical data feature store with standards and best practices.
• Develop analytics by creating reusable data assets for analysts and data scientists.
• Create and maintain data documentation, lineage, and business logic.
• Build queries, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate data quality and insights.
• Partner with clinical, operational, and business stakeholders to meet analytical goals.
• Maintain data quality frameworks with validation rules and anomaly detection.
• Translate clinical concepts into analytical frameworks for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with data engineering to ensure proper data ingestion and storage.
• Contribute to data governance and HIPAA compliance initiatives.
• Develop and deliver training and consultations on clinical data assets.
