Job summary

Teton County in Jackson, WY is seeking a Senior Recreation Leader for the Climbing Gym to oversee and lead diverse programs, ensuring safe, engaging experiences for climbers of all ages.

Under supervision, you will manage daily operations, conduct safety briefings, supervise belay activities, and coordinate classes and events, while fostering a welcoming environment for participants and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-3 years experience in recreation programs or working with children.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or the ability to obtain certification.
• Preferred Climbing Wall Instructor Certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and leads day-to-day operations of assigned recreation programs and activities.
• May take attendance for assigned group and records names of participants not in attendance.
• Oversees, leads, and assists with various activities; enforces rules and safety procedures; implements disciplinary actions as necessary.
• Participates in facility or venue set-up, clean-up, and sanitation.
• Supports the relationship between the Teton County staff and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior.
