Job summary

IMA Financial Group in Pasadena, CA is seeking an Account Manager to serve as the day-to-day contact for a mixed Mid-Market & Large/Complex client book, under the guidance of the Account Executive.

You will prepare renewal materials, support new client onboarding, and lead meetings, negotiations, and program design with minimal oversight. The role involves carrier submissions, policy handling, and mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applicable insurance experience
• Construction insurance experience preferred
• Experience with AMS and data completeness standards
• Strong client and underwriter relationship skills
• Willingness to travel up to 30%

Responsibilities

• Serves as day-to-day contact for client requests within a mixed Mid-Market & Large/Complex book
• Prepares renewal materials (premium, loss summaries, coverage comparisons) under AE direction
• Owns meeting facilitation, client interactions, negotiations and program design
• Supports winning new business and onboarding of new clients
• Creates marketing submissions and manages carrier negotiations
• Reviews quotes for accuracy and coverage, and supports policy processing as needed
• Ensures quality control in the department and mentors other Account Managers
