Job summary

Allianz Commercial in Belgium is seeking a Senior Claims Handler based in Antwerp to manage Belgian and international claims, mainly Property and Engineering. You will liaise with brokers, coordinate with Risk, Underwriting and Operations, and drive accurate claims administration with technical expertise.

The role requires fluency in Dutch, French and English, strong knowledge of coverage principles, and experience with AI/ML tools to improve processes.

• Prepare referrals and report loss information internally and externally.

Reporting to the Head of Claims Belgium & Netherlands, you willplay a key role in ensuringeffective and efficient claims handling across the lines of business in scope. Your responsibilities will include creating andmaintainingstrong, professional relationshipswith brokers, collaborating with other departments to ensureaccurateclaims administration, and completing general claims administration tasks. You will manage a portfolio of clients andserve as their primary point of contactfor all claims-related matters.

To excel in this role,you'llbring a combination of technicalexpertise, customer focus, and a collaborative mindset.You'llbe a trusted partner for our clients, brokers, and internal teams, ensuringclaims are handled with precision, efficiency, and care.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Handle end-to-end both Belgian and international claims, mostly in Property and Engineering. Yourassistancein managingclaimsinFinancial Lines and Liability would also berequired.

• Input, process, andmaintainaccurateclaimsrecords (e.g., reserves, payments) for designated accounts.

• Produce management information reports (e.g., monthly major claims movements).

• Prepare referral documentation and materials as needed.

• Reportlossinformation internally and externally.

• Work with other teams during the claims handling process, such as Risk Consulting, Underwriting, and Operations, as well as with colleagues in our offices abroad.

• Participate in IT/digital projects to share your technical insights, e.g., as a Subject Matter Expert.

WhatYou'llBring to the Role

• Significant experiencein handling claims for corporate clients, with a strong focus on Property and Engineering lines.

• Solid understanding of coverage principles and claims resolution strategies.

Strong knowledge of relevant legal frameworks, processes, guidelines, and litigation management.

• Fluency in Dutch, French, and English as this is a market-facing function in a multi-cultural environment.

• Knowledge of reserving principles and practices.

• Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks, work autonomously, and meet deadlines.

• Strong interpersonal skills, business acumen, and the ability to negotiate effectively.

• Positive team spirit, with a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow.

• Proficient in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, with experience using digital claims solutions.

• Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is highly beneficial.

For Belgium, the base salary range for this position is between 93,600 - 124,800 EUR. The specific salary offered considers:

• the requirements, scope,complexityand responsibilities of the role,

• theapplicant's own profileincludingeducation/qualifications,expertise, specialization,skillsand experience.

The annualizedamountrepresentsa market range and will also bedeterminedby the location of the role. In the situation where you do not meet all the job requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range. In addition to your base salary, we offer an attractive performance-based variablecomponentbased on location specific regulations, and you may be eligible foradditionalbenefits.
