Job summary

X-energy is seeking a senior civil/structural engineer for the Xe-100 project in Gaithersburg, MD. You will lead site layout, building design, and constructability efforts through final construction, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, suppliers, and contractors.

You will perform structural analysis, develop RIPB design criteria, and ensure compliance with codes and standards while delivering cost-effective solutions for the Xe-100 plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural/architectural engineering from an accredited institution.
• Typically 15 years of engineering experience in design, analysis, or construction.
• Master’s or PhD may substitute significant experience per policy.
• Experience with civil structures, industrial facilities, or power generation.

Responsibilities

• Develop site/layout and design buildings through construction.
• Perform analysis of SSCs to meet specs and code.
• Prepare design documentation and drawings per procedures.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.
