Job summary

Protingent is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer 3 (Structural Design) for direct hire. The role focuses on design of Nuclear Safety-Related and Non-Safety-Related SSCs, requiring broad plant design knowledge and the ability to manage complex structures.

Ideal candidate will have 5+ years in nuclear structural design, familiarity with relevant codes (ACI, ASCE, IBC, N690), and experience with ANSYS. Remote work options are available for this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. in Civil Engineering; PE license preferred.
• At least 5 years of nuclear structural design experience.
• Experience with concrete, steel, and foundations.
• Familiar with ACI 349/318, ASCE 7, IBC, N690 and related codes.
• Programming skills (Matlab or Python) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and review Nuclear Safety-Related and Non-Safety-Related SSCs.
• Coordinate with disciplines and consultants to resolve design issues.
• Develop design documents, specifications, reports, and studies.
• Oversee suppliers and review drawings, calculations to ensure SOW alignment.
• Communicate with contractors and/or regulatory bodies.
• Apply standards using appropriate structural engineering tools.
