Job summary

Variety Staffing is seeking a Senior Design Engineer in Belmar, NJ, responsible for overseeing due diligence investigations and engineering analyses for various site layouts. Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in Civil Site Engineering including residential, institutional, industrial, and/or commercial site design.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) required; Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain and operate a vehicle.
• Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and review professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead due diligence investigations and design analyses of site layouts.
• Review zoning and land development ordinances.
• Prepare Site Investigation and Due Diligence Reports.
• Design Stormwater Management and Utility Systems.
• Prepare project proposals and manage budgets.
• Present to planning and zoning boards.

Skills

Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D

Knowledge of design and drafting capabilities

Proficient grading and drainage design skills

Client management experience

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Knowledge of Hydrologic and Hydraulic and Stormwater Design

In depth knowledge of the planning and zoning process

Independent and critical thinking abilities

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
