Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking a Senior Civil Project Manager specializing in Power Generation and Transmission to join our Houston, Dallas or Austin teams. You will lead site/civil design, permitting, and client development efforts for diverse power projects.

You will work with leadership to grow the civil practice, manage multi‑discipline teams, and oversee conceptual to completion design while coordinating with clients and stakeholders across Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of site/civil engineering experience with a focus on Power Generation and Transmission.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Site/civil experience across diverse project sites from concept through completion.
• Strong client development and client management abilities.
• Proficiency of AutoCAD or Civil 3D preferred.
• Active participation in professional organizations.
• Experience in technical and proposal writing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with multitasking and judgment capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead site/civil and multi‑discipline efforts on a variety of project sites, focusing on power generation and transmission projects.
• Design and permit project sites for institutional, commercial, warehouse, distribution, and mixed‑use projects.
• Collaborate with office leadership to develop growth plans and ensure staff utilization.
• Pursue business development by developing new clients and maintaining relationships with existing clients.
• Lead storm water management design and SWPPP preparation.
• Demonstrate experience in land development engineering integrating geotechnical and environmental aspects.

Job Summary

Langan is seeking a Senior Civil Project Manager with a specialization in Power Generation and Transmission projects to join its collaborative teams in Houston, Dallas or Austin Texas. This individual will serve a key function in design, permitting and client management/development efforts for a variety of power generation and transmission projects, becoming part of the leadership team behind Langan’s continuing growth in the civil market.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead site/civil and multi‑discipline efforts on a variety of project sites, with a focus on power generation and transmission projects, including the design and oversight of site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completion;
• Design and permit project sites in addition to institutional, commercial, warehouse and distribution, and mixed‑use projects for both public and private clients;
• Work closely with office leadership to develop growth plans and ensure staff utilization;
• Possess an entrepreneurial demeanor and participate in Business Development activities by developing new clients for the firm and maintaining relationships with existing clients;
• Lead site/civil efforts on a variety of project sites including the ability to design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completion;
• Lead storm water management design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design and SWPPP preparation;
• Demonstrate experience in all aspects of land development engineering including the integration of geotechnical and environmental engineering; and
• Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;
• 10+ years of successful, local and related site/civil engineering experience with a concentration in land development on Power Generation and Transmission projects;
• Professional Engineering license;
• Site/civil experience on a variety of project sites including the ability to design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completion;
• Strong client development and client management abilities;
• Proficiency of AutoCAD or Civil 3D preferred;
• Active participation in professional organizations;
• Experience in technical and proposal writing;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities;
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment; and
• Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
