Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in the Durham, NC area to lead civil site development projects from proposal through delivery, build client relationships, and mentor engineers and technicians.

This role coordinates water, sewer, and storm drainage designs, directs multidisciplinary teams, and ensures projects meet schedule and budget targets. The firm offers competitive compensation, a performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Extensive experience in civil site development design and project management.
• Experience managing civil site development projects for diverse public and private clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil site development projects from proposal through delivery.
• Prepare and oversee construction drawings for water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets; ensure on-time delivery.
• Lead proposal preparation and fee development to support growth.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Visit client offices, job sites, and consultant locations to support execution.
• Monitor project performance using project management tools.
• Mentor and develop engineers and technicians.
• Communicate project status, risks, and solutions to leadership.
