Job summary
Alta is seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our Denver team and lead a range of transportation projects focused on sustainable mobility. You will work with planners, landscape architects, data analysts, and outreach specialists to deliver high-impact projects across the Front Range and beyond.
The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and delivering plans, specs, and budgets while promoting safety, equity, and environmental resilience.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience as a Transportation Engineer in a consulting environment or public entity
- 5+ years as a Project Manager
- 3+ years managing staff
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or TE licensure
- Experience in active, non-motorized transportation
- Experience preparing Plans, Specifications and Estimates packages for roadway projects
Responsibilities
- Manage a variety of transportation projects from design through construction.
- Drive project success and budgets for sustainable projects.
- Mentor staff and contribute to internal professional development.
- Provide leadership and technical expertise across engineering disciplines.
- Prepare schedules, budgets, and scope of services for projects.
- Balance workloads across teams and regions.
- Support regional leader in business development.
- Provide quality control over deliverables.
