The successful candidate will work proactively in a fast-paced environment, coordinate with attorneys and staff, maintain meticulous records, and help prepare pleadings, discovery and trial materials.

Qualifications

• At least five years of civil litigation defense experience.
• Expertise in e-filing in state and federal courts.
• Knowledge of electronic filing requirements at state and federal courts in Georgia.
• Strong calendaring and deadlines management.
• Ability to work proactively, independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare state and federal pleadings for e-filing.
• Create organization system and oversee its maintenance for high-volume discovery.
• Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines in a busy legal environment.
• Organize large volumes of case-related documents.
• Locate and reference specific documents quickly (e.g. trial exhibits, deposition transcripts, key discovery responses, case correspondence).
• Support attorney defense litigation (phone conferences, meetings, case deadlines, hearings and depositions).
• Document, organize and assist with preparation for trials and arbitrations hearings.
• Save, file and organize pleadings, motions, and related e-filed or emailed documents.
• Maintain daily calendar with ability to forecast and prioritize deadlines.
• Maintain professional demeanor and a positive attitude with colleagues, clients, co-counsel, and court personnel.
