Job summary

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. (CWR) is seeking an experienced Civil Estimator to lead bid activities for heavy civil projects across Florida. The role includes reviewing documents, performing take-offs, obtaining sub-contractor quotes, and preparing comprehensive bid packages.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years in road construction bidding, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple estimates while traveling to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or construction-related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in road construction with bidding proficiency.
• Proficient in Excel and able to organize and manage time efficiently.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; drug screening and background check.
• Florida driver’s license required due to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, plans and specifications.
• Perform quantity take-offs using AGTEK and Bluebeam.
• Solicit and receive quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Attend site visits and take field measurements for quotations.
• Manage CRM database entries and maintenance.
• Prepare bid proposals and post-bid documentation.
