An environmental engineering firm is seeking a Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer in Chicago to design and manage water and wastewater treatment facilities. Candidates should have 10-15 years of wastewater design experience, a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, and be a Registered Professional Engineer. The role involves managing project budgets and schedules, ensuring high quality service delivery, and providing our clients with effective solutions. • 10-15 years of wastewater design experience in environmental consulting engineering.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer.
• Experience with managing and designing medium sized projects.
• Must have demonstrated experience with managing and designing medium sized projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards
• Experience designing wastewater treatment plants, including development of conceptual/preliminary designs and detailed design document preparation
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
• Deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints
• Experience working with wastewater collection systems and water and reclaimed water transmission/distribution projects
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel

• Travel required when requested

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering
• 10-15 years of wastewater design experience in the field of environmental consulting engineering with an emphasis in hydraulics, physical, chemical, and biological treatment processes and treatment plant design
• Registration as a Professional Engineer
• Must have demonstrated experience with managing and designing medium sized projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards
• Experience designing wastewater treatment plants, including development of conceptual/preliminary designs and detailed design document preparation
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
• Deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints

Pay Range

An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
