Job summary

An environmental engineering firm is seeking a Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer in Chicago to design and manage water and wastewater treatment facilities. Qualifications

• 10-15 years of wastewater design experience in environmental consulting engineering.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer.
• Experience with managing and designing medium sized projects.
• Must have demonstrated experience with managing and designing medium sized projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards
• Experience designing wastewater treatment plants, including development of conceptual/preliminary designs and detailed design document preparation
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
• Deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints
• Experience working with wastewater collection systems and water and reclaimed water transmission/distribution projects
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel

Responsibilities

• Active in professional associations, including attendance and participation in local, regional, and national conventions
• Travel required when requested

An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
