Job summary

TalentSource is seeking a Senior Engineer in South Bend, IN to lead planning, design and execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects for the local community. You will oversee capital projects, coordinate consultants, and ensure compliance with municipal standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 4+ years of experience in municipal utility infrastructure design or construction, especially water/wastewater.
• Knowledge of public works and municipal construction standards and practices.
• Experience inspecting construction work for compliance with codes and specs.

Responsibilities

• Lead as project manager for designated capital projects and programs.
• Select and oversee consultants, prepare RFPs and manage contracts.
• Evaluate plans for water, wastewater, stormwater projects and ensure compliance with standards.
• Develop and review civil engineering plans and specs with attention to municipal requirements.
• Coordinate with City departments and external agencies to streamline projects.
