Job summary

Ardurra is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Ocala, FL office. The role will support or lead projects in water and wastewater utilities, roads, land development, and civil design within a collaborative, small-team environment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience and strong communication skills; Florida PE is preferred, and proficiency with AutoCAD or similar design tools is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or other relevant discipline.
PE license in FL is preferred.
Minimum 5 years of directly applicable experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interface with clients, and contractors.

Responsibilities

Participates in the development of project design concepts and criteria.
Analyzes complex design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures.
Consults with construction personnel concerning design constructability.
May be a lead individual on a construction site for resident engineering services, reviewing construction compliance with engineering design authority, review of schedules and costs and invoicing.
Prepares and finalizes planning documents.
Provides input for proposals, engaging with proposal teams and managers.
Represents respective projects at meetings and conferences.
May plan, organize, and supervise design engineering activities for a project of significant size and complexity.
May provide direction to and supervision for junior Engineers and design staff.
