Watts Architects & Engineers in Buffalo, New York is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with strong design experience in public works projects. You will lead multi-discipline design efforts, prepare contract plans, specifications, and bid estimates, and perform site inspections.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Civil Engineering with ABET accreditation, is a NY or NJ-registered Professional Engineer, has 10+ years of relevant experience, and is proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering is required.
• Registered Professional Engineer in NY or NJ.
• Minimum 10 years in civil-infrastructure design (highways/bridges, storm/sanitary, water systems).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsabilités

• Design work on complex, multi-discipline public works projects as a Project Engineer/Manager.
• Deliver contract plans, specifications and bid estimates on-time and within budget.
• Perform site inspections and quality control reviews.
• Participate in meetings and client relations.
• Supervise and mentor mid-level and junior engineers and technicians.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards (AASHTO, AISC, PCA, NYSDOT).
