Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services in Salt Lake City, Utah, is seeking a Project Civil Engineer / Project Manager. You will coordinate planning, design and permitting for civil, land development and infrastructure projects, while mentoring staff and coordinating with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Valid Professional Engineer license is required.
• 6+ years of site/civil land development experience.
• Knowledge of local city, county and state land use processes and regulations.
• Strong client development and ability to develop new work.
• Experience designing site layout, grading, drainage, and infrastructure.
• Experience managing projects from concept through construction documents.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or Civil 3D is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects; coordinate with clients.
• Design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control from concept through completion.
• Develop new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients.
• Manage multiple projects within budgets and schedules; monitor timelines and budgets.
• Prepare reports and proposals; write drafts including feasibility studies and utility reports.
• Provide expertise in hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and SWPPP preparation.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop growth plans and staff utilization; supervise staff.
• Perform other duties as requested.
