Job summary

Sheladia Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead our engineering team from planning through delivery. You will provide technical leadership, manage budgets and schedules, and mentor staff while delivering high-quality infrastructure projects.

The role requires a PE license in MD/DC/VA, 10+ years of civil experience with water resources focus, and strong project management skills. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and clients is key.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland, DC, Virginia, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years in civil engineering, with focus on water resources, drainage, and infrastructure design.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical leader in civil infrastructure design, guiding and managing project teams.
• Oversee and mentor junior civil engineering staff, fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.
• Lead project execution to ensure schedules and budgets are met.
• Supervise all aspects of project delivery, including setup, drafting, design, quality control, and coordination.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, landscape architects, environmental scientists, and other stakeholders for integrated solutions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Review and monitor project reports to ensure performance goals are achieved.
