Job summary

BL Companies is seeking a Senior Technical Civil Engineer to oversee land development projects from concept to completion. This role emphasizes direct project execution, ensuring deliverables meet scope, budget, and timeline across retail, commercial, and residential sectors.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of civil/utility engineering experience and a PE license in the state of employment, with leadership and mentoring capabilities to guide junior staff.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of civil or utility-related engineering experience.
• PE license preferred; active in-state licensure is a plus.
• Experience leading and mentoring junior staff.
• Strong design and permitting experience for land development projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee land development projects from start to finish.
• Provide site layout and grading/earthwork calculations.
• Lead stormwater management design and permitting.
• Lead erosion and sedimentation control design and permitting.
• Prepare/submit local land development permits.
• Ensure quality assurance on deliverables.
• Mentor and develop junior staff.
