Qualifications

• BS in science with 2 years of maintenance/construction experience (one year supervisory)
• Associates degree with 5 years of maintenance/construction experience (2 years supervisory)
• High school diploma/GED with 8 years experience (3 years supervisory)
• High school diploma/GED with 12 years experience (5 years supervisory)
• Must possess/maintain valid Georgia driver’s license
• Preferred certifications: Flagman, Work-Zone Traffic Control Supervisor, Erosion Control Inspector

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of County Transportation and Development projects as assigned.
• Perform engineering calculations to ensure compliance with guidelines, specs, and standards.
• Conduct material testing and supervise contractor payment tasks and surveying.
• Maintain inspection records, prepare reports and correspondence on project status.
• Consult with contractors/engineers/homeowners and resolve technical/administrative issues.
• Assist with maintenance programs and post-construction documentation.
