Job summary

Giffels Webster in Birmingham, Michigan, seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Oakland County office. You will work with municipalities to improve southeast Michigan communities and lead civil design tasks under a Project Manager.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of civil engineering experience, ABET-accredited degree, AutoCAD, and prefers Michigan PE. We offer comprehensive benefits and a potential hybrid schedule—up to two days remote and three days in the office.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree from ABET accredited university or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of Civil Engineering experience.
• Must have experience in AutoCAD software.
• Exposure to Municipal and/or Private Development projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil design tasks including geometrics, grading, and pavement design.
• Develop soil erosion, sediment control, and stormwater plans.
• Design stormwater utilities and roadways in collaboration with public agencies.
• Prepare permit applications and cost estimates.
• Attend meetings and conduct field visits.
• Perform construction administration tasks and document record drawings.
