Job Description

Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager with twelve plus years of experience to manage engineering projects from entitlements through construction administration at our San Diego office.

Compensation and Benefits

• Expected Base Salary: $120,000.00 to $160,000.00 based on experience.
• Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.
• Competitive end‑of‑year discretionary bonus based on company, team, and personal performance.
• Hybrid work schedule (subject to change).
• 401(k) with maximum of 5% contribution matching with 9% employee contribution.

This position is not eligible for sponsorship. No paid interview travel or relocation expenses are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration required. Registration in California preferred.
• Minimum of 12 years of professional land development experience, including:
• Managing multiple, concurrent projects.
• Leading design team efforts.
• Successfully managing project budgets and schedules.
• Interfacing with a multi‑discipline design team.
• Mentoring junior staff.
• Client management.
• Technical experience with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, technical studies, mapping documents, preparation and processing of civil construction documents, and earthwork calculations. Stormwater experience in San Diego County preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Specification preparation experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to foster long‑term client relationships.
• Excellent time management skills.
• San Diego experience and relationships a plus.
