Job summary

Blair, Church & Flynn in Henderson, Nevada, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer (Professional Engineer) to lead infrastructure projects. You will oversee planning, design, permitting and construction support, with a focus on quality and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has at least 12 years of relevant experience, a PE license, and a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Local travel to project sites will be required, and the role is in-person at our Henderson office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required; advanced degree beneficial.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Experience with CAD software and construction documentation.
• Ability to perform calculations, research, and technical writing.
• Ability to interpret record drawings and specifications.
• Experience performing QA/QC and coordinating with stakeholders.

CORE MISSION

Professional Engineers are responsible for assessment, planning, evaluation, design, permitting and construction support for a wide range of infrastructure projects, including transportation, water and wastewater, flood control, energy and site development. Professional Engineers use their training, education, experience, and professional judgement to prepare designs, provide direction, make decisions, and be in responsible charge of the resources and processes to meet the standard of care.

REQUIREMENTS

• Abachelor's degree inengineering ora relatedfieldisrequired; an advanced degree is beneficial.
• ProfessionalEngineer (PE) licenseisrequired.

SKILLS & UNDERSTANDING

• Proficiencywithindustry-specific software like AutoCAD Civil 3D and other CAD tools.
• Competency in research, calculations, design, detailing, costestimatingand technical writing.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive construction documents.
• Ability to interpretrecord drawings,construction documents,specificationsand as-built documents.
• Capability to perform technical reviews, follow quality assuranceplansand execute quality control processes.
• Ability to problem-solve,communicateand collaborate with peers and project stakeholders.

EXPECTATIONS FOR THE "SENIOR" TITLE

• Are proactive professionals with demonstrated, mastered and proficient abilities across project planning, technical aptitude and teamwork.
• Are responsible for complex assignments that require experience in forecasting resources, anticipating issues and completing quality control.
• Has at least 12 years of relevant experience.

LOCATION

• This position is in person at the Henderson, Nevada office and requires local travel for meetings and site visits.
