Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc is seeking a Senior EIT 1 to join our Civil and Environmental team. The role offers a flexible Hybrid workplace/Telework policy and opportunities for professional growth within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The candidate will plan, design, and facilitate civil engineering tasks, conduct feasibility studies, and collaborate with clients and professionals. A BS/MS in Engineering with 4+ years of experience and FE/EIT certification are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering experience in civil projects or related fields.
• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering from an accredited program.
• FE exam passed with engineer-in-training (EIT) certification.

Responsibilities

• Plans, designs, and facilitates civil engineering project design tasks.
• Undertakes technical and feasibility studies.
• Collaborates with other professionals and discusses requirements with clients.
• Uses computer programs to develop detailed designs.
• Ensures work products meet client, environmental, and safety requirements.
• Performs work under professional engineering staff.
• Handles basic issues and problems but refers complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and civil engineering design tasks.
• Travel 20-40% for project-related work.
