Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred.
• 4+ years of relevant civil engineering design experience.
• Advanced CAD proficiency (AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design and engineering on civil projects, ensuring quality and standards compliance.
• Lead and support projects through design development and completion within budget, timeline, and scope.
• Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, specifications, and project documentation.
• Use CAD tools to develop design solutions and produce drawings and takeoffs.
• Collaborate with junior engineers and a multi-disciplinary team, providing guidance.
• Ensure designs comply with codes and regulations and contribute to planning and budgeting.

Requirements

• Perform detailed design and engineering on a variety of civil engineering projects, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Lead and support projects through design development and completion, helping ensure projects are delivered within budget, timeline, and scope.
• Prepare and review technical correspondence, engineering reports, calculations, specifications, and other project documentation.
• Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation) to develop design solutions, perform engineering analysis, and produce maps, drawings, and takeoffs for cost estimating.
• Conduct necessary calculations for mapping, design analysis, and construction staking to support project development.
• Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and design staff while working closely with a multi-disciplinary project team.
• Ensure that designs are compliant with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Contribute to project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control efforts as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering design.
• Demonstrated advanced proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation).
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and design techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
