The role emphasizes safety, subcontractor supervision, and cost-conscious production. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in heavy civil, 5+ years in construction management, and a relevant degree.

Qualifications

• 8+ years heavy civil construction experience.
• 5+ years construction management experience.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• STS certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of site equipment operation and maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of safety protocols and enforcement.
• Knowledge of local union or prevailing wage rules, if applicable.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret plans and specifications.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.

Responsibilities

• Plan work methods, materials, equipment needs and work schedule for assigned project work and review weekly schedules.
• Review project specs; work with crews, engineers and utilities to identify hazards.
• Coordinate with equipment teams and vendors to ensure proper equipment and material quantities within budget.
• Forecast schedules and provide recommendations to mitigate production issues.
• Provide input to identify project risks related to methods, plans and safety.
• Ensure adherence to safety and process controls; identify training needs.
• Supervise subcontractor production and adjust schedules or methods as needed.
