Willdan Group, Inc. is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor to lead staff in California. The role involves map checking, boundary and topographic surveys, and acting as City/County Surveyor for CA jurisdictions.

Responsibilities include coordinating with subconsultants and ensuring deliverables meet state acts and industry standards. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree, a current California PLS license, and 10+ years of surveying experience, with preference for prior City/County Surveyor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) required.
• Active California PLS license required.
• At least 10 years of progressive professional land surveying experience.
• Strong background in subdivision mapping and related processes.
• Experience as City/County Surveyor strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate the work of survey staff on surveying earth's surface and map preparation.
• Serve as City/County Surveyor for cities/counties in California and supervise office/field operations.
• Coordinate with subconsultants, stakeholders, and surveyors of record to produce deliverables.
• Review and prepare easement, right-of-way descriptions, plats, and related documents.
• Monitor budgets and timelines to ensure efficiency and profitability.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

California Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license

10+ years of professional land surveying experience
