Job summary

NVIDIA in Santa Clara is seeking a Senior Circuit Design Engineer to advance power delivery for our advanced SoCs. You will collaborate with System/Software Architects, Power Integrity and Packaging teams to quantify energy efficiency improvements and drive robust regulator solutions.

You will model complex Systems-on-Package, derive voltage regulator features and specs, and address packaging, interconnect, and thermal challenges to enable future NVIDIA products.

Qualifications

  • Must have MSEE/MSCE (or equivalent), PhD preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in analog and mixed-signal circuit design.
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of power converters.
  • Deep system-level understanding of power delivery for SoCs.
  • Experience with protection schemes: overcurrent, over/under voltage, over temperature.
  • Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink, Cadence, and circuit simulators like SPICE.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities.

We are now looking for a motivated Senior Circuit Design Engineer to join our dynamic and growing Power Circuits Solutions Group. What you’ll be doing:
  • As a senior team member, you will collaborate closely with other System/Software Architects, Power Integrity /Packaging experts and Product and Process engineers to understand product challenges and quantify energy efficiency improvements of integrated power delivery solutions.
  • You will be breaking down complex Systems-on-package into simpler and tractable electrical models to identify and assess feasible solutions, and further translate these into a coherent set of voltage regulator features and specifications.
  • Investigate innovative solutions addressing packaging, interconnect, physical design, electrical and thermal challenges to provide energy to future products.
What we need to see:
  • MSEE/MSCE (or equivalent experience), preferably PhD.
  • 8+ years of equivalent experience.
  • Strong background in analog and mixed signal circuit design.
  • Strong theoretical as well as practical knowledge of power converters and its various components.
  • Deep system-level understanding of power delivery solutions for SoCs, including thermal constraints, package and board effects, noise requirements, load modeling, etc.
  • Experience with architecture, system-level design, and implementation of industry-standard protection schemes: overcurrent, over/under voltage, over temperature etc.
  • Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink, industry standard silicon EDA tools (Cadence) and circuit simulators (spice, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability & desire to work as a great teammate.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
  • Exposure to lab setup, design for testing and silicon validation experience is a plus.
  • Proven industry experience bringing designs from concept to high volume production.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 168,000 USD - 264,500 USD for Level 4, and 196,000 USD - 310,500 USD for Level 5.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
