Job summary

GSK in the United States is seeking a highly skilled chromatography specialist to provide scientific expertise to the Chromatography team. You will design experiments, analyze data, and document methods rigorously to support site goals.

The role requires hands-on experience with normal and reverse phase chromatography, multiple detectors, and regulatory compliance. On-site or hybrid work is possible, with a focus on safety, quality, and collaboration across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, analytical chemistry or related scientific discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience in a laboratory of a high throughput testing environment.
• 5+ years’ experience in a GMP/FDA regulated environment.
• 5+ years’ experience in Quality Control environment in a Chromatography laboratory (preferably with Empower software)

Responsibilities

• Ensure laboratory compliance with EHS policies and support lab safety and audits.
• Lead Investigation/Change Control/CAPA tasks and ensure timely closure (Orange Belt certified).
• Process and evaluate complex chromatography data.
• Act as SME for chromatography methods including performance, acceptance criteria, validation and compendial requirements.
• Backup SAP and LES Business Approver and coordinate reagent supply chain.
• Drive implementation of new or updated methods with transfers, CAPA actions and regulatory updates.
• Provide SAP/LES input for implementation/upgrades and serve as Empower SME.
• Troubleshoot chromatography systems and autosamplers; coordinate preventive maintenance.
• Lead training and maintain competency records for the team.
• Maintain 5S practices in the laboratory for safety and efficiency.
