Thomas Talent Network is seeking a Senior Chiller Technician to service, troubleshoot, and repair large‑tonnage cooling equipment in the field around Richmond, VA. This hands‑on role focuses on diagnosing and fixing chillers, not just performing preventative maintenance.

You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair chillers and HVAC systems, perform startups and load checks, and respond to service calls with rooted cause analysis to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience with large‑tonnage HVAC and chiller equipment.
• Proven experience troubleshooting AND repairing chillers — not just preventative maintenance.
• Strong electrical, refrigeration, and controls diagnostic skills.
• EPA Universal certification.
• Valid driver's license with clean MVR.
• Able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair large‑tonnage chillers and HVAC equipment in the field
• Perform startups, shutdowns, and load‑based performance checks
• Respond to service calls and resolve issues to root cause with minimal downtime
• Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and control sequences
• Document work accurately and communicate clearly with the customer and dispatch
