County of Anson's Department of Social Services seeks a Social Worker III - Child Welfare (Full/Work Against) to protect at-risk children. You will conduct protective investigations, perform CPS assessments, and provide in-home services while coordinating with families, schools, and courts.

The role requires an MSW or equivalent, licensure or progress toward it, and strong computer skills. You may work a rotating on-call schedule including nights and weekends, with permanency planning such as

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited school of social work.
• Bachelor's degree in social work and completion of the Child Welfare Collaborative (Child Welfare positions only).
• Bachelor's degree in social work and one year directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Master's degree in a human services field and one year of directly related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a human services field and two years directly related experience.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three years of directly related experience.

Responsabilités

• Receiving reports of suspected child abuse, neglect, or dependency and evaluating these reports under statutory guidelines.
• CPS assessments to determine if maltreatment occurred and risk level.
• Provide CPS in-home services; collaborate with families and service providers.
• Pursue removal of custody through juvenile court when safety cannot be ensured.
• Placement of children in foster homes or group care and preparation of cases for court.
• Develop and implement permanent plans (reunification, adoption, kinship).
• Work may involve on-call scheduling including night and weekend shifts.
• Competency in computer skills is required.
