Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work or related field.
• At least 2 years in child welfare investigations.
• Current Florida Child Welfare Certification credentials.
• Trained in Florida Safety Practice method.
• Valid Driver License.
• Private vehicle for daily work with insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the work of child protective investigators and staff.
• Communicate with and coach investigators on performance and case quality.
• Plan workloads, deadlines, and objectives to meet timelines.
• Review casework, assessments, and safety plans for quality and compliance.
• Monitor cases using information systems to ensure progress and prevent backlog.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state rules and regulations.
• Participate in hiring, promotion, and disciplinary actions.
• Collect and report data on child protective investigations.
