Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in social work or related field; active Child Welfare Certification from the Florida Certification Board.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations regarding abuse, neglect, abandonment and/or special conditions for children.
• Interview children, parents, relatives, neighbors and other parties to gather information.
• Develop case plans with families and coordinate services or court-ordered dependencies.
• Prepare reports and provide testimony in court; maintain thorough documentation.
• Notify appropriate agencies and participate in case staffings and coordination with legal services.
