Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers seeks a Child and Family Therapist to provide diagnostic assessments, referrals for psychiatric services, and case management in collaboration with schools, clinics, and families. The role includes delivering evidence-based individual and family counseling, crisis stabilization, and suicide risk assessment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work with diagnostics coursework.
• Must meet criteria of a Mental Health Professional (MHP).
• Must possess or be pursuing Child Mental Health Specialist credential.
• Active WA license (Agency Affiliated Counselor or Mental Health Associate).
• Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic assessments for children and families.
• Refer to psychiatric services and coordinate with care teams.
• Provide individual and family counseling, crisis stabilization, and safety planning.
• Develop treatment plans and monitor medication effects with physicians.
• Maintain documentation and ensure confidentiality across settings.

Education

Master’s degree in psychology/counseling/social work

Mental Health Professional credential

Child Mental Health Specialist credential or in progress

WA license (Agency Affiliated Counselor or MHP)

Spanish speaking preferred
