Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. seeks a Chief Engineer to serve as the technical authority for the Mission Planning Enterprise.

You will own architecture, systems engineering, IVV&E, cybersecurity, and modernization, ensuring alignment with government requirements and enterprise strategy. You will lead TPMs, risk management, and technical trade studies, and collaborate with architects and operations leaders to deliver coherent, testable, and sustainment-ready capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
• 10+ years of systems engineering leadership on large, software‑intensive DoD programs with end‑to‑end responsibility for the technical baseline.
• System‑of‑systems integration experience in mission planning or similar environments.
• Hands‑on experience with verification, validation, integration, and evaluation of complex software products.
• Proven leadership of cross‑functional engineering teams and technical working groups.
• Active Secret clearance and ability to maintain it throughout employment.
• Experience modernizing legacy mission planning or avionics systems into open‑architecture environments.
• Familiarity with requirements‑management tools (e.g., DOORS) and requirements traceability, KPIs/RTMs.
• Experience defining and managing TPMs as indicators of technical risk.
