Job summary

Cordis, LLC is seeking a Senior Chemist to lead the development and qualification of a polyphosphazene-based solid material for medical device coatings. This individual contributor role focuses on setup, reaction execution, in-process controls, and documentation, ensuring high-quality outputs and safety.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant chemistry experience with a bachelor's degree
• Advanced knowledge of chemical synthesis and lab practices
• Hybrid role with analytical lab metrology support

Responsibilities

• Set up, qualify, operate, and maintain polyphosphazene synthesis for medical device coating applications.
• Lead organic and polymer chemistry steps, including monomer preparation and trimer formation.
• Support analytical metrology and testing of materials and processes.
• Coordinate testing with external labs and document results.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance in lab practices.
