Job summary

ANI Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Senior Chemist to perform independent analytical testing in accordance with defined standards. You will mentor staff, coordinate routine and project work, and provide feedback to the laboratory manager.

You will ensure data accuracy, lead document development, and drive process improvements within the lab. The role requires a Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years in an analytical lab, and experience with laboratory instruments and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific/technical field with 5+ years in analytical labs.
• Experience developing laboratory documents and systems.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced knowledge of analytical instruments, techniques, and methods.
• Thorough understanding of laboratory documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing on materials and samples per defined standards and methods.
• Prepare standards, samples, reagents, and solutions; maintain inventory and docs.
• Set up and verify operation of lab equipment; calibrate and maintain as assigned.
• Collect data and generate accurate results; escalate atypical results promptly.
• Review data and guide peers to correct deficiencies and improve understanding.
• Lead non-routine testing and investigations; prepare reports and corrective actions.
• Develop and revise lab methods, protocols, and reports.
• Maintain lab readiness including housekeeping, logbooks, and inventory.
• Mentor less experienced staff to ensure adherence to standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
