Job summary

WuXi AppTec Group seeks a Manager of Chemical and Industrial Hygiene to lead the Chemical Hygiene Plan across U.S. sites, oversee IH sampling, and support site plans. The role requires 10+ years in chemical engineering or industrial hygiene, with a BS/BA in Chemical Engineering and CIH preferred.

Strong regulatory knowledge (NIOSH, OSHA, EPA, CDC) and travel up to 20% are expected. The position is on-site in Cranbury, NJ, reporting to the EHS leadership.

Qualifications

• Requires BS/BA in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of relevant chemical engineering or industrial hygiene experience.
• CIH certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute U.S. site Chemical Hygiene Plans.
• Perform/oversee industrial hygiene sampling at sites.
• Lead testing to validate control levels for potent compounds.
• Improve processes, procedures, and control methods for chemical exposures.
• Lead employee training in Chemical Safety and oversee the MSDS database.
• Provide regulatory guidance and liaise with agencies (NIOSH, OSHA, EPA, CDC).
• Oversee audits, CAPA tracking, and incident investigations.
• Manage site hazardous waste program and regulatory documentation.
