Job summary

Cincinnatus LLC is seeking senior character animators to join a leading AI lab's GenAI team in Los Angeles or New York, working on a performance transfer model that preserves timing, emotion and subtle acting choices.

You will set quality standards, critique outputs, build benchmarks and help calibrate a pool of reviewers. The role is part-time on-site with occasional in-person sessions at Playa Vista or NYC.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on character animation focusing on human and character acting.
• Animator credits on feature films, VFX or AAA game cinematics at recognized studios.

Responsibilities

• Set clear standards for when a performance has been carried over well, in body mechanics, facial nuance, timing and emotional intent, and point out where current evaluations fall short.
• Review generated performances shot by shot, the way you would in dailies, and write precise, actionable notes.
• Build benchmarks by selecting reference performances ranging from easy to hard to capture, ensuring the model is tested on what matters.
• Shape the reviewer pool by defining profile, rubric and calibration for the human reviewers who score outputs at scale.
• Collaborate with other experts to keep evaluations consistent and accurate.
