Terraphase Engineering Inc. is seeking an experienced Environmental Planning Professional to join our CEQA/NEPA/Tribal Planning team in Oakland, California. This position involves leading the preparation of environmental documents, managing multidisciplinary teams, and interfacing with clients and regulatory agencies. Candidates should have 5+ years in CEQA preparation, strong analytical skills, and a related degree. We offer a competitive salary ranging from $98,000 to $130,000 along with comprehensive benefits including a generous 401(k) match and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in CEQA document preparation, NEPA knowledge a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, organization, writing, and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with tribal planning or interest in working with our Tribal clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and preparation of CEQA documents under mentorship.
• Coordinate technical teams to ensure accuracy and alignment with goals.
• Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and compliance with expectations.
• Interface with clients and agency staff during permitting processes.
• Present at public hearings and stakeholder meetings.
• Drive business development by cultivating client relationships.
• Mentor staff and foster a supportive culture.
