Job summary

AECOM in Southern California seeks a senior-level environmental planning professional to join our Environmental Planning and Permitting (EPP) team. You will lead CEQA/NEPA documentation, manage projects, and mentor staff while collaborating with clients and subconsultants.

The successful candidate will have 6+ years of CEQA/NEPA experience, contract management and business development capabilities, and excellent written and spoken communication.

Qualifications

• BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Experience leading CEQA/NEPA documentation and permitting projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage teams, subconsultants, and clients.
• Ability to lead business development efforts and manage contracts across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide CEQA/NEPA and permitting expertise with accountability for projects.
• Serve as Project Manager with financial management, reporting, subconsultant oversight, and staff management.
• May act as contract manager, task manager, or SME depending on project.
• Oversee multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule; ensure quality.
