Job summary

AMECO in Evansville, IN is seeking a Lead Driver to support local delivery and pickup of materials within a roughly 200-mile radius. The role requires a CDL-A license, forklift ability, and strong customer service skills.

You will operate from the Evansville facility and ensure timely, safe, and compliant transportation of goods. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, paperwork accuracy, and maintaining vehicle condition, while adhering to DOT regulations and company safety rules.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL A driver’s license and tractor trailer experience.
• Must have a minimum of one year of CDL driving experience, with a clean driving record.
• Must comply with applicable DOT regulations.
• Ability to operate a forklift and perform material handling as needed.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and picks-up materials, rentals, and completes applicable paperwork safely and timely.
• Load/unload, move or store product as directed.
• Maintain truck appearance and perform pre/post inspections.
• Provide exceptional customer service and develop positive relationships with customers.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies; meet attendance and punctuality standards.
• Coordinate with branches and assist in back-up duties as required.
