Job summary

Leidos is seeking a CBRNE/WMD Instructor to support the Center for Domestic Preparedness training program. The role involves delivering indoor and outdoor training, maintaining SME knowledge, and ensuring safety and compliance across all exercises.

You will work with a SME Course Leader to refine course materials, review outcomes, and provide cross-training opportunities to maximize training effectiveness for student responders. A strong background in emergency response and teaching is required.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in emergency response disciplines, with 5 years in WMD/CBRNE at technician level.
Minimum 3 years of current instructional experience.
Possess a teaching certification or teaching degree/experience.
Possess functional knowledge of the federal response plan/NIMS.
Ability to lift 65 pounds during demonstrations.
Must pass pre-placement medical exam.
U.S. citizenship required by Federal Contract Regulations.
Must have government-issued ID compliant with Real ID Act.
Background checks required for suitability.

Responsibilities

Conduct indoor classroom-style training and outdoor hands-on demonstrations in extreme heat and cold.
Improve toxic agent training through research and revision.
Maintain SME knowledge base in CBRNE/WMD.
Ensure safety and compliance with risk assessments and SOPs.
Coordinate with officials to maintain expertise in state-of-the-art training techniques.
Oversee doffing procedures and PPE use in live-agent training, with supervision of students.
Review course outcomes via After Action Reports and QA/QC.
