Job summary

CSC Generation is seeking a highly capable ML engineer to join our hybrid Austin team. You will build closed-loop decision systems, focusing on pricing, inventory, and promotions, and you’ll design experiments that learn from interventions in real time.

You’ll work across causal modeling, uncertainty estimation, and production ML, shaping decisions that move economic lift while respecting constraints across brands.

Qualifications

• Experience in machine learning and statistical modeling.
• Proficiency in causal inference and experimentation.
• Background in decision systems (pricing, recommendations, marketplace).
• Familiarity with bandits, RL, optimization or active learning.
• Ability to estimate uncertainty and perform counterfactual evaluation.
• Experience with production ML systems and large behavioral datasets.

Responsibilities

• Build causal and heterogeneous treatment-effect models.
• Estimate uncertainty and calibrate predictions.
• Work with contextual bandits, active learning or sequential decision-making.
• Develop policy learning and constrained optimization.
• Perform counterfactual and off-policy evaluation.
• Contribute to experimentation, champion/challenger systems and production ML infra.
