Job summary

LyondellBasell is seeking a Cathodic Protection Specialist to oversee CP/IC programs across regulated pipeline systems in TX and LA. You will ensure compliance, lead investigations, and coordinate with Operations, Engineering, and Contractors to uphold CP standards.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, program governance, and audit readiness, with a focus on safety and regulatory alignment. Strong CP data skills and field oversight are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years cathodic protection experience.
• Extensive knowledge of state and federal regulations related to pipeline corrosion control.
• Strong technical expertise in CP systems, interference control, and corrosion monitoring.
• Experience with CP Surveys, CIS, DCVG, and related diagnostic techniques.
• Familiarity with RRC O&M audit processes and DOT Part 192 corrosion control requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory compliance for gas and liquid pipelines and act as technical authority for CP activities.
• Own CP/IC program strategy, annual plan, and performance objectives.
• Develop CP dashboards to monitor system health and communicate status to leadership.
• Coordinate CP/IC activities with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Lead root-cause investigations and coordinate corrective actions with teams or vendors.
• Assist in data integration with ILI, damage incidents, and remediation planning.
• Maintain audit-ready CP/IC documentation and support budget stewardship.
